Without question, our present day culture offers a healthy menu of illicit alternatives for today’s youth. Accordingly, interventional modalities designed to encourage, enliven and empower them to achieve their greatest potential have become an essential staple of effective ministry outreach. Redemptive Life Fellowship’s prototypical youth initiatives have not only proven effective within the local context, but have served as a “best practices” model on a national basis as well. Included among these initiatives are:

THE JUNIOR LEVITICAL DANCE TEAM

The Junior Levitical Dance Team is comprised of youth ages thirteen to twenty-one. Choreographed to provide entertaining yet interpretative expression of God’s Word, these committed and consecrated youth are a demonstrable witness to their generation.

THE BARAK DRILL TEAM

Ministering an evangelistic message of hope, inspiration and salvation, the Barak Drill Team flows in a unique contemporary presentation that is as engaging as it is energetic. Known for their high-energy, fast-step routines, the team is of particular appeal to adolescent and teen audiences while simultaneously providing enjoyment and inspiration to viewers of all ages.

GIDEON’S DANCE TROUPE

This exciting troupe of adolescent children demonstrates the psalmist’s expression that “children are an arrow in the hand of a mighty warrior”. Their ministry style is a unique expression of dance, oratory and theatrical arts that inspires viewers of all ages to greater faith, fervor and familial commitment.

THE MIDNIGHT BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The innovative and interventional Midnight Basketball League offers community youth a wholesome alternative to inner city street activity. Conducted on site in our beautiful Restoration Center and open until 3 am, this highly structured, and professionally supervised venue includes mandatory participation in health, hygiene and HIV awareness seminars to educate this highly at risk population on the dangers of drugs, alcohol and pre-marital unprotected sexual activity. The League’s activity has included exhibition games with local police and sheriff’s department teams, thus facilitating a further goal of enhancing mutual respect and understanding between law enforcement officers and this critical community population.

THE DEBUTANTE/SQUIRE INSTITUTE

Although considered old fashioned by some, awareness and activation of basic social graces, public domain etiquette and appropriate activity in interpersonal and dating relationships is nevertheless a staple of the Redemptive Life Debutante & Squire Institute. More than two hundred young males and females have graduated from this 26 week intensive training curriculum. Available for children ages three through eighteen, the age appropriate curriculum, one of the most extensive in the nation, focuses upon self-esteem, self-responsibility and self-initiative as hallmark characteristics of a holistic & successful lifestyle.
